As a Technical database / ETL expert within the Jumia / Kaymu BI Factory, you will be based in Porto, however working for
all Jumias / Kaymus on understanding and analyzing business unit needs and trends, then developing appropriate
Business Intelligence databases & ETL jobs. You will work closely with the other members of the Jumia / Kaymu BI Factory
(CTO, report developers and system administrator).
Your responsibilities will include:





Managing the Sources feeding Business Intelligence Databases
Optimizing the database & ETL jobs of the BI solution developed in-house
Building on the current setup, along with Jumia Sys-admins, to handle and sustain the needs of 15+ countries
Building and optimizing secure processes to improve BI interface efficiency / user experience
Management responsibilities will come depending on your aptitude / inclination
What we are looking for:
To be considered as a candidate you will need to have the right attitude to succeed in a tough start-up environment, with
a high interest IT systems as well as very strong analytical and conceptual skills.
Furthermore you will be able to evidence the following:





Above all, culture & attitude are critical – you are hungry, resourceful, and driven to improve in a rapid, high
pressure environment
You have joined a good university / engineering or business school, and gathered a deep and organized experience
in Business Intelligence development. A strong entrepreneurial background would be even more appreciated
Deeply experienced in Linux, Python, PHP, SQL, ETL & database languages
Good knowledge of the existing Business Intelligence database & ETL market tools
Speak and write English fluently, other language skills is a plus
