Business Intelligence, Data and Reports Developer/Analyst SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses reach goals through education and mentorship. We are seeking a talented BI Developer/Analyst to play an integral role on our technology team. This team member will be responsible for the design, development and analysis of our web-based data and reports. Job Description: The BI, Data, Reports Developer/Analyst will be responsible for creating, supporting and providing quality reports and reporting user interfaces using BIRT and MySQL. Conducting analysis on SCORE core data and developing new data points. Performing source target mapping in support of report and warehouse technical designs Implementing business-driven requirements Developing, adhering to, and being a proponent for Data Warehouse development standards, including ETL standards and best practices Working with ETL developer and project teams to understand analysis and reporting requirements; ensuring work product meets users’ needs Creating and maintaining logical data maps identifying information linkages between critical operational systems and data warehouse Providing documentation for all developed ETL processes, including process flow and data mapping Developing audit reporting and quality improvement processes to ensure accurate and consistent delivery of data Providing schedule and status reporting Integrating new data sources for structured/semi-structured and unstructured data from various sources in support of the electronic marketing management tools and other related systems Ensuring compliance with all applicable data privacy regulations and policies as they relate to both firm and client/contact data Job Requirements: Experience in writing complex reports in BIRT to display data in dashboards, reports and extract and analyze data. Experience generating complex reports, graphs, charts and reporting user interfaces using BIRT. Experience extracting data from live systems and transforming data for use in a Data Warehouse. Database design and implementation experience a plus. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and follow up on unfinished business Excellent data analysis skills Experience deploying self-service capabilities in campaign management and Reporting/BI Demonstrated ability to manage projects with competing deadlines and priorities Goal oriented and creative personality with good interpersonal skills Experience working with outsourced vendors Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to pay attention to details and be organized Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast paced environment Must have legal right to work in the U.S. Technical Skills: BIRT Informatica MySQL RDBMS MySQL Workbench PHP/LAMP Drupal 6 SOAP, REST, XML, web services APIs Knowledge/experience using ERWIN or any other data modeling tool a plus Minimum Qualifications: Excellent BI and reporting tools experience! Must be able to create outstanding visual reports and reporting user interfaces! 3-5 years of experience with BIRT/Informatica reporting and data analysis tools.. 3-5 years of experience in complex report development, data warehouse experience. Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of data security design for self-service BI platforms Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related course of study required Excellent verbal and written communications skills (English).
