We are halfway through
Our next unit test has been moved to next Tuesday,
October 29 th . the first semester!
This test covers eukaryotes and prokaryotes, cell structures and organelles, transportation of molecules in and out of cells, and endosymbiosis.
M: Review for DBA Your students need to know the characteristics of prokaryotes and eukaryotes and be able to compare and contrast them. T: DBA (District-Based
Assessment)
All Biology students across the district will be taking a common test over the standards
(TEKS) we covered the first 9 weeks of school.
As much as I hate to say this one of the best ways to study organelles is to memorize their functions. Another good idea is to come up with an analogy or something to compare the organelle to.
W: Begin Osmosis in Eggs Lab,
Cell Membrane research
Th: Continue egg lab, cell transport notes
F: Finish egg lab, cell quiz, endosymbiosis notes
Homework
M- Finish Viewing Cells lab questions, organelle chart, and 5 questions about organelles
T- Finish Viewing Cells lab questions, organelle chart, and 5 questions about organelles

This week I am not available for tutoring before school because I have duty but I am available after school until 4:45.
Keep asking your kids to show you their spirals and the work they are doing because it’s a sneaky way to get them to review it one more time.
