Awards
Michael Lowinger shield
The Michael Lowinger shield for the most outstanding sub junior squad was named in honour of
Michael Lowinger. Michael was a stalwart of the club serving on the committee for 10 years, during
this time he filled the roles of treasurer, secretary and kiosk manager. Michael Lowinger was a do’er.
You actually never had to ask Michael to do anything for the club- he just did it. After the Lowinger
boys finished up with junior football, Michael moved on to the senior club committee and was once
again the go to man.
It is our honour and pleasure to have Michael’s son Daniel announce and present the award tonight.
The Michael Lowinger shield for the most outstanding sub-junior squad is presented to U9 Kangas
team. Coached by Igor Aleksenister and managed by Daniel Lowinger himself.
Max Stern Perpetual Shield for the most outstanding junior squad.
Max Stern requires no introduction; however I will just say a few words. Max is the oldest registered
player in Victoria having played with the Club since its inception in 1978.
It gives me much pleasure to call upon Life Member Max Stern to present the perpetual trophy.
This year the award goes to the U12 Blue 2 boys coached by Josh Zlotin and managed by David
Kretzmer.
NCMJFC President’s Bowl for the most outstanding girl’s squad
In recognition of the advances made in female football a trophy for the most outstanding girl’s
squad was first awarded in 2008.
Given that it is the president’s bowl I call upon myself to present this award.
This season the Bowl is awarded to the senior women’s team. Coached by Tim Purcell and ably
managed by Chelsea Fisher.
Reagan Milstein Distinction Award a much loved and respected member of our club passed
away tragically during the season 2010. I call upon our friend Kevin Milstein to present the Reagan
Milstein award.
This year the RMDA goes to Daniel Tanne


The new proposed constitution was tabled. This has been an ongoing draft between FFV,
Maccabi Vic and NCMJFC over the last 2 years.
Discussions took place as to what constituted a quorum in the new laws. It was agreed that the
proposed 5% of members is too high and is not achievable. It was amended to “3% of members or
10 members whichever is the lesser”.
On that basis a vote took place, all in attendance voted the new constitution in. There were no
objectors.
General Business:
Max Stern called for a vote of thanks and confidence in the committee and all its members. This was
accepted by all present.
Registration 2015 aim to b open by November 2014
