DANIEL-CLAUDIU DUMITRESCU WORK IN COPPER AND LEAD I asked Daniel Dumitrescu if he could make the lilied crosses like those in the Bodleian Library in Oxford that I use in our library in Florence. He said he could. And made them out of copper with the traditional Roma tools. He inherited these tools from his grandfather who was the most famous coppersmith in their part of Romania. I next asked Daniel if he could replace the missing lead letters on our tombs. He had brought within him these same tools and did the work expertly. This is the tomb of Eleanor Augusta Tulk, the work being commissioned by her Australian descendants.
