On Monday, Oct. 19 we will have a senior class
meeting in the auditorium to receive information about how
and when to order your cap and gown and graduation
announcements. You will receive a catalog, order form,
and price sheet at the meeting to complete.
On Tuesday, November 3 and Wednesday,
November 4, Herff Jones will visit our school to
accept your order and payment. They will be in the gym
lobby during the SMART lunch from 10:30 – 11:30 on
both days to accept orders. They will also host a special
parent ordering session on November 3 from 5:00 – 7:00
PM in the gym lobby, so parents may visit to place an order
if they want to be a part of the ordering process. Herff
Jones will have the products on display for you to see. Cap
and gown packages will be available to include the cap,
gown, tassel, Spirit Hood, graduation announcements with
namecards, senior apparel, and other products starting at
about $200. You would need to pay an $80.00 down
payment on Nov. 3 and 4 to place the order for a package
and pay the remaining amount by April 1, 2016.
If you only want the cap, gown, tassel, and Spirit Hood,
which is the minimum you can purchase, you would need
to bring $58.71 (includes handling and sales tax) with your
order form on order day. So, you need to decide how much
your budget will allow you to spend this year and plan
accordingly. Be sure to save your money for the payment
needed to place the order on November 3 and 4.
On Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22, Herff
Jones will deliver the caps and gowns and graduation
announcements in the gym lobby during the lunches.
Again, be sure to place your order on November 3 and 4 to
guarantee you will get your order on April 21 and 22. Do
not procrastinate to place your order or you will pay higher
shipping and handling fees.
If you are an EARLY GRAD (student who is scheduled to
graduate in January), you must inform the Herff Jones
representative you will be graduating in January, so they
can place your order for the shipment to arrive at school in
early January. If you do not inform the representative, then
your order will not arrive until April with the June
graduates’ orders and you will not have your cap and gown
for the January ceremony. So, it is very important that you
communicate that you are an EARLY GRADUATE! The
caps and gowns for the Early Grads will arrive at school in
January before graduation and can be picked up in the
school office.

POTENTIAL QUESTIONS I HEAR EACH YEAR AND
THE ANSWER YOU MAY GIVE IF ASKED:
1.
Is the cap and gown the same as last year’s? Yes
(you may want to take the display in main office to meeting
to show parents)
2.
I had another child graduate, so can my senior wear
his/her cap and gown? Answer: If your child graduated in
2015, you may reuse the cap, gown, and spirit hood and
only buy the tassel. If your child graduated before 2015,
then the attire will not be the same. (Cap and Gown color
changed to GREEN and hood was added in 2015.)

Can I just buy just the cap and tassel? No, the cap
and gown are a unit and cannot be separated.
4.
Can I order online? Yes, online ordering will be
available after Nov. 3 and 4, so if you miss order day you
will be able to order online. There will be a price increase
after Jan. 1 if you choose to order online. We strongly
encourage you to place the order on Nov. 3 and 4, so you
don’t forget and then realize you have a problem in June
because you forgot to order.
