Unit Plan
Unit Title: Role & Function; Nurse Aides function as an unlicensed individual in the role of a nurse aide within the legal and ethical
standards set forth by the profession of nursing as regulated by the State Board of Nursing for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Essential Questions:
How does the Nurse Aide Demonstrate an understanding of Client’s Rights?
How does the Nurse Aide develop a care plan, which assists client’s in maintaining physical, psychological well being?
Does the NA have an understanding of common difficult behaviors?
Does the Nurse Aide recognize responses the Nurse Aide should take when caring for a resident exhibiting difficult behaviors?
How does the NA demonstrate an understanding of the role of the family in resident care?
