Low relief is best, to avoid tearing the foil. “Drawing with glue” is also an option. When completely dry, cover the CD composition with a piece of foil. Carefully press around edges of raised areas with cotton swab or felt scraps (or pads of fingers). When all detail is revealed, wrap foil over edges. Brush entire surface with thin coat of black india ink (if applied too thick it is difficult to remove later). Let dry. Use fine steel wool to gently burnish raised areas in circular motion. OPTIONAL: Paint areas with thinned metallic acrylics. Spray with clear coating. Mount on mat board.
