This is the last PTO Weekly Minute of the 2014-15 school year-my how the year has flown by!
But what a fantastic year it was.
The PTO would like to thank all of our families, their students and the amazing staff for another
outstanding year. Here are just a few of the highlights from 2014-15;




During the 2014 The Read-a-Thon fall fundraiser, our students and families raised over
$11,300! These funds have already been put toward new classroom technology. For the
start of the 2015-16 school year-60 new chrome books will be in our classrooms for
student use. Additional Chrome Books and Smart boards will also be purchased in the
coming months.
Over 27,000 box tops have been submitted with all proceeds from the redemption of the
box tops coming right back to Carlisle. Each month from Sept-May winning grade-level
classrooms also received $15 in free Scholastic books for their classroom libraries.
Over 225 students shopped at our annual Secret Santa event in December and over 700
people in all attended this wonderful event.
During the spring Flower Sale fundraiser, our students and their families raised over
$6,800. This was an increase of over $1,700 from the previous year.
To all the volunteers who assisted during the Carnival, Teacher/Conference Dinners, Secret
Santa, Market Day, Staff Appreciation Week, Staff Recognition, Scholastic Book fair and Fourth
Grade Celebration, we say a great big thank you! To all those who baked, decorated, wrapped,
copied, and purchased items for all of our events we say thank you! All of the above could not
have been done without you.

CIA Day
Cooperation in Action Day for all Fourth Grade students takes place on Tuesday, May 26.
Kona Day
All Carlisle students will enjoy a special treat from Kona Ice during lunchtime on Wednesday,
May 27, courtesy of the PTO. Just one small way to say thank you to our students for working so
hard all year.
Third Grade Tour of Schultz
Third grade students will be touring Schultz Elementary on Wednesday, May 27 in preparation
of attending there during the next school year.
Fourth Grade Celebration
The annual Fourth Grade Celebration will take place on Thursday, May 28. This is a special time
where our fourth grade students will be recognized for their accomplishments at Carlisle and
celebrate moving on to Fifth Grade. The festivities will start at 12:00 Noon and wrap up by 3:00
p.m. Fourth grade parents be sure to attend and bring your cameras!
Kindergarten Screening
Screening for 2015-16 Kindergarten students will take place on June 9 at Smith Elementary.
Last Day for School Office Hours
The Carlisle office will be open through Tuesday, June 9, and will then reopen in mid-August.
Lastly, the outgoing PTO Board members would like to say a special note of thanks to Principal
Schwartz, the staff and all of our volunteers for the years of tremendous support. We wish the
new incoming Board much success and we hope they enjoy your roles as much as we have.
Carlisle truly is a special place.
