Meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m.
The group toured the Oneida Recreation Center to see where the activities would be happening.
They were also able to see what supplies they had to work with.
The individual committees split up and met for approximately 30 minutes to discuss last minute
plans and details.
Team Building Committee
a. There will be one team building activity every 30-45 minutes (these will take place in
between gym games). The committees has about 10 games they are prepared to do,
and will chose an activity based on the group of kids they have.
b. Ruth is doing signs for the event so please give her anything you may want on the sign.
You can also email Sarah (mcpcooridnator@gmail.com) and she can pass the
information onto Ruth.
Promotion
a. Tina sent a note to all Churches in the county about the event. First United Methodist
asked for registration information.
b. Candy Kraton also asked for more information and will put info in the church bulletin.
c. Candace will also place our information in her church bulletin. Sarah will email her all
the information.
d. Melissa and Tom promoted it at their area of council churches meetings.
Gym
a. The gym group has access to dodge balls, basketballs, and volleyball equipment and will
set up activities according to teen feelings. Kind of a go with the flow type of day.
Game Room
a. The game room consists of a pool table, a foose ball table, and a few other games. Maria
from Hope Christian Fellowship will monitor this room.
Peace and Harmony Lounge
a. Ruth will be doing some posters for the room. The group will be setting the lounge up
on Saturday evening.
b. Jeff is bringing over four 32 inch television sets to be used for the video game consoles.
There will be 3 Wii consoles and an xbox 360.
c. There was also talk about having a vinyl banner or canvas of some sort on a table
outside of the lounge for kids to create a mural.
i. Melissa said she could get the mural hung at area Madison County libraries for
Christian Unity Week.
ii. Sarah has secured canvas to be used for this from Reality Check at BRiDGES.

Food
a. We are now serving hot dogs instead of pizza for the event- it is more count controlled.
Everything else will remain the same.
Churches coming to event
a. New Beginnings- approximately 15-20 youth
b. Reality Check – 5-8 youth
c. Church on the rock-15-20 youth
d. Believers Chapel- 5-10 youth
e. Plymoth Alliance- Kirk Johnson ( someone will contact him regarding his youth group)
f. Sarah will get in touch with Lee from Eaton Community Church and Cassondra from
Nazarene Church.
Teen Worship Piece
a. Jeff’s band Deeper Still will play three or four songs approximately 20 minutes.
b. Believers Chapel will put on the Everything skit- 5-10 minutes
c. Scott Burgess (Tom’s Son) will speak for 20 -30 minutes.
Miscellaneous Items
a. We will use the white board for a list of activities and times (Melissa can supply the
markers).
b. There will be a staff person on duty the day of that is First Aid trained
c. Melissa will talk to the Oneida schools regarding promoting the event.
d. Prizes- MCP Shirts, Melissa can get some books and CD’s, YMCA trial one month
membership, Iceplex tickets. Please feel free to donate any other prize items.
e. The lounge people would like to get into the building Saturday evening to set up. Jeff
will check on this.
i. The lounge committee is able to get in on Saturday evening. Jeff will know a
time later this week. Sarah will let everyone know.
Networking Dinner
a. The next Networking Dinner is November 15th at 6:30p.m. at Salvation Army at the
Oneida Recreation Center- 217 Cedar Street, Oneida, NY (downstairs).
b. Melissa has graciously offered to provide dinner for us all. Sarah will bring the paper
products.
c. Gretchen Slater from BRiDGES will be presenting on Current Trends in Teen Substance
Abuse
d. We will also do a wrap up on the Youth Fun Night Event at the Networking Dinner.
e. Sarah will create the invitation and mail them out to the church list; she will also pass it
along to Ruth.
