WALLETS MARTS CASTLE DOUGLAS LIMITED MONDAY 2ND NOVEMBER 2015 DISPERSAL OF THE ANNELSHOPE PEDIGREE LUING HERD Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited favoured with the instructions of Rob and Carol Carr, Airyolland, Port William disposed the Annelshope herd of Luing Cattle at Castle Douglas Market on Monday 2nd November 2015. Cattle were in great fettle having benefited greatly from the recent spell of kind weather. With a strong ringside of both pedigree and commercial buyers in attendance all classes met a good steady demand. Topping the sale at 2150 guineas was Lot No 16 – Auchenree L3 Louise a 2009 cow with her springborn Luing heifer calf at foot, she sold to Mr Davies, Wales. Mr Davies also bought the second top price outfit at 2100 gns, Lot 15 Auchenree L2 Leda with her heifer calf are also heading back to Wales. In-Calf heifers traded well to top at 1850 guineas for six animals. Bulling heifers sold to 920 guineas whilst junior heifers topped at 880 guineas.
