CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
All stock must be born before 6th August 2013, i.e. at least 18 months old.
All bulls must be inspected prior to the sale and will be vet-inspected at the sale. Bulls will then be
weighed and measured in the market and must measure a minimum of 52 inches on the day of the
sale with minimum scrotal circumference of 38cms. A bull will not be accepted for sale if the dam
is alive in the vendor’s herd and has not been classified.
3. Every consignor must display a Health declaration form from one of the CHeCS scheme
providers which MUST include details of BVD vaccination.
4. Pedigree and Appendix A Luing heifers may be sold. Older pedigree stock in good condition may
be sold at the end of the main sale.
5. The order of the sale will be: In-calf heifers (class 1); Bulling heifers (2); Bulls (3), Cows (in-calf
and/or with calf at foot - 4).
6. All bulls must be in the market by Wednesday night and ready for weighing, measuring and
photographing by 0900hrs on Thursday 5th February 2015.
7. All females must be numbered and available for inspection by the panel, by 12noon on Thursday
5th February 2015. Any animal with a black nose or displaying unruly temperament will be
rejected.
8. Straw and hay will be charged at cost price by the market and will only be available if booked
ahead of time.
9. Bulls will be catalogued and sold in age order, oldest first.
10. Heifers will be sold in lots of any number, starting with in-calf heifers (or with calf at foot). Each
owner’s entries will be sold in one draw unless they number more than 20 in total. Heifers to be
entered in either of the pairs competitions can be drawn from different pens and all but the winning
pair will be presented through the ring as originally entered in the catalogue. Each vendor is
permitted to enter one pair per competition. The winning pair must be sold as a pair within the
vendor’s lot at a point of their choosing, to be notified to the auctioneer before the beginning of the
sale.
11. Official UK tag numbers must be given relevant to all animals entered in the sale and the onus is on
the vendor to ensure that each animal is correctly double tagged before entering the sale ring. All
animals presented in the ring are expected to be clean and groomed, as befitting a pedigree sale.
12. All animals will be sold under the terms and conditions contained in the N.B.A. breeding
warranty.
13. The Society will apply a 3% levy and the mart will charge 3.5% commission. The sale will be
conducted in guineas.

1. List animals for sale by Herd Book Number or Management Tag. Official UK tag numbers must be supplied. Pedigree certificates no longer
need to accompany the entry form and instead should be handed into the mart office together with the cattle passports.
2. Bracket together animals that you wish to be sold in the ring as a group.
3. In the case of in-calf heifers, give due date and service sire.
4. Note rules regarding pairs of cattle to be shown.
5. Include any information about health schemes/status that you wish printed in the catalogue on the separate form.
6. Return entries as soon as possible and no later than Friday, 12th December 2014 along with the Heath Declaration Form.
