PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Sr. Director Quality is responsible for providing senior leadership for Global Quality Systems: Quality Assurance, QA Testing Compliance, Quality Engineering, QA Client Services and QA Technical Services. This position participates with other senior managers to establish Global Operations plans and objectives. The incumbent has contact with all levels of company employees including the Executive Team, as well as frequent interaction with customers, regulatory agencies and peers within the company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Continually improve and drive compliance to the company’s Quality System to meet the wide-ranging Compliance, Validation, and Quality Assurance requirements of various Electronics’ manufacturing and product development services. This covers a wide range of Semiconductor Industry Quality requirements and practices that support cleanroom operations. These requirements mainly pertain to Operations, but also may pertain to other functions as well (e.g., commercial, R&D). • Drive change through role modeling and continuous improvement. • Lead, manage and develop the Quality Assurance group through periods of rapid change. • Formulate and recommend policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures and schedules for the department. Develop, recommend, implement and monitor uniform programs; conduct quality control audits and evaluate work standards and performance levels ensuring uniformity, effectiveness and appropriate staffing levels. • Participate in hiring and promoting subordinate employees; train subordinates, assign, direct, and review their work. • Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. REQUIREMENTS Education: • B.S. in Math, Engineering, or Sciences. • MBA is preferred. Experience:• A minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in Quality. • A minimum of 5 years at a senior level (Manager or above) leading a Quality Assurance group in Electronics industry. • Experience with a mix of regulated and non-regulated products or services preferred. • Experience with common continuous improvement tools (e.g., six sigma, SPC) a plus. Knowledge and Skills: • Excellent management and communication skills • Excellent working knowledge of US, AP and EU semiconductor industry requirements. • Leadership skills in managing change, influencing outside of his/her area of responsibility, attracting/developing talent, and coupling high performance standards with soft skills is preferred.
