The Sculptors’ Society Gold Coast Inc (SSGC) in continuing its aim of encouraging the appreciation of varied sculpture and is hosting an exhibition at The School House Gallery from 1 May – 3 May 2015.
The Sculptors’ Society Gold Coast extends an invitation to all Members to submit up to four (4) entries in this exhibition.

Variations on a Theme Sculpture
We encourage all members to join in with the Variations on a Foot sculpture, whereby members can fashion a cast foot to create an original sculpture – more details page 3. $50 Picassos Voucher will be awarded for best foot!

CONDITIONS
1.
Exhibits should be for sale with artist’s name and selling price labeled clearly. Prices should reflect reasonable value. SSGC will charge a
25% commission on sales. Selling price to be GST inclusive if the artist is registered for GST.
2.
Entry Forms are due by 5pm Monday 27 April 2015; late entries may not be accepted.
3.
Entry is open to all financial members (full and associate students) of the Sculptors’ Society Gold Coast Inc.
4.
Entry fees are $10 for 1 artwork, then $5 for each additional piece. This includes free entry to opening night as exhibiting artist.

5.
Members can submit up to four (4) pieces. Painting & photographic entries will be considered as part of the 4 works entered.
6.
New work is encouraged, however previously exhibited work will be considered. Plinths are supplied.
7.
Artworks are limited to 1 cubic metre and able to be moved easily by one or two people.
8.
The exhibition committee along with the Gallery Curator reserves the right to curate the exhibition to its best visual display.
9.
All works to remain for the duration of the exhibition – no early removals. Exceptions may be granted at the Exhibition Committee’s discretion if sales to interstate/international visitors require early release.
10.
Members agree to deliver works to the gallery on Thursday 30 April between 9am – 12pm.
11.
Members agree to collect unsold works on Sunday 3 May between 4pm – 4.30pm or alternatively Tuesday 5 May 9am – 12pm. Please note if these conditions are not met there is a storage fee of $5 per artwork per day. After three weeks, if artworks are not collected, SSGC will dispose of the artworks at their discretion to defray costs.
12.
In the event that a sculpture is sold, any freight and insurance is the responsibility of the purchaser. The Gallery Assistants will manage the administration of sales.
13.
The official opening is Friday 1 May at 6.30pm and will be hosted at The School House Gallery. All exhibitors are kindly requested to contribute a plate of finger food. SSGC will provide wine and drinks at a nominal fee. We encourage you to bring your friends, family, associates, art lovers to enjoy the exhibition.
14.
Whilst all care will be taken by SSGC, the artist is responsible for insuring their works and guarantee to indemnify SSGC against any loss or damage, however caused.
15.
The Exhibition Committee will be responsible for the display of the works and will endeavour to present all pieces to their best advantage within what ever limitations present themselves (eg. display space) and take for granted that all exhibiting artists understand and accept such limitations. Please notify us of any special conditions relating to your artwork display.
16.
Any decision by the Exhibition Committee is final and binding with no correspondence entered into.
17.
Only original works produced by the exhibiting artists are eligible to enter.
18.
The exhibitor agrees to allow SSGC to use photographs of the entry for promotional purposes.
