Administration licensure.

II.

Brainstorming regarding PAC programs and services a.

Pilgrim Academy: Cheryl Jacques, Program Director shared ideas for the expansion of the current Pilgrim

Academy program. The PAC Board of Directors approved an RFP process to bid for a new Academy lease with a 10,000 square foot expansion. The expansion would increase classroom space as well as accommodate the PACES team. The ideas for additional space would be to accommodate younger

Academy students and well as expand services to ASD students who have mental health concerns, as well as students who would not be on a diploma track, but need mental health services. All present were in

favor of the expansion. b.

Transitional Skills: Brenda Burke, Program Coordinator shared all of the work completed in the past year regarding improving PAC transitional programs. Increased support to parents is provided by PAC as well as increased opportunities for students in job placement sites as well as access to opportunities at

Bridgewater State University. Brenda will receive her Transitional Specialist endorsement from DESE and

offered to be a resource to districts. c.

PACES: Deb Booth, Program Coordinator shared new parent trainings and social skill after school classes for the 2014/15 school year. The Extended Day program has now expanded to two locations: Duxbury

High and PCIS. Kids Konnection will continue on a limited basis for those programs that receive the most

enrollments. Referral through PACES for BCBA consultation services have increased. d.

Elementary/Middle School Programs: Leslie Erikson, Program Coordinator provided an update on the elementary and middle school ASD and social emotional programs. The focus this year is on assessment. e.

TIPS: This program will be offered again in the spring of 2015. Referrals should be sent to Cathie Sheldon.

The MISSION of the Pilgrim Area Collaborative is, in partnership with member districts, to be a resource by providing programs and services that reflect high-quality, researched-based, best practices for the ever-evolving needs of the students, families, educators and communities that we serve.

III.

Budget: The summary of the FY15 amended budget was reviewed. Minor adjustments have been made

particularly around employment costs due to hiring. No changes were made to tuition costs. A summary sheet of what is included in tuition prices for PAC was discussed with no changes recommended. FY14 closed with a surplus of over $60,000. Member towns will receive reimbursement contingent on a vote of the Board of

Directors.

IV.

Ethics/Open Meeting Law Sign Off: All Operating Committee members need to provide documentation of awareness of Open Meeting Law and Ethics.

V.

District Informational Sharing a.

DDMs for special education: Districts are implementing. b.

PARCC: DESE has supported Collaboratives in that despite what assessment tool the host school or the sending districts may have opted to implement this year, Collaboratives need only administer either

PARCC or MCAS. PAC will be administering MCAS to all of its students for the 2014/15 school year.

VI.

Operating Calendar: Due to a scheduling conflict the November 17, 2014 Operating Committee meeting has been cancelled. It was agreed by those present to cancel rather than reschedule. Should additional meetings be necessary, those may be added at a later date. The next scheduled Operating Committee meeting will be

December 15, 2014.
