The Manager, Workforce, Capability and Performance under limited direction is responsible for a range of human resources functions. Particular requirements of the role include: demonstrated high level conceptual and strategic thinking to assist with achieving the stated objectives and the operational imperatives of the agency now and in the future, including making connections with the work of the Employment Conditions and Services (ECS) section and the other business units assisting the Director in managing the relationships between the members of the Workforce, Capability and Performance (WCP) section and in working collaboratively with key stakeholders including the Leadership Group, the wider People and Integrity Branch and other business units to assist with the implementation of strategies, policies and procedures conducting workforce planning across the agency including job design and work value assessments in providing role clarity and functional alignment and in supporting the Director with strategic workforce planning overseeing the performance management system, providing assistance to staff in having an efficient and effective process in place to support a high performance culture overseeing and monitoring the various WHS responsibilities within the agency, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation and the health and wellbeing of the agency’s staff conducting research and analysis of HR matters to inform process and strategy development and implementation, with the focus on continuous improvement, innovation and to inform management’s decision making maintaining accurate records and reporting on HR activities as required taking an active part in activities in shaping the organisation’s culture and behaviours.
