Position Title: Marketing and Communications Intern About Healthy Teen Network: Founded in 1979, Healthy Teen Network promotes better outcomes for adolescents and young adults by advancing social change, cultivating innovation, and strengthening youth-supporting professionals and organizations. Located in Baltimore, we serve as a leading national membership organization (501c3) for adolescent health professionals, promoting a unique and holistic perspective—our Youth 360° frame—to improve the health and well-being of young people. Position Description: Healthy Teen Network seeks a Marketing and Communications Intern to work 1519 hours per week, with a minimum three-month commitment. The Intern will work out of Healthy Teen Network’s Baltimore office and assist in various projects. Specific project assignments and tasks will be based on the individual’s skill set, experience, and course objectives, to be mutually established, to support a positive learning experience. This position requires some knowledge or work experience in the field of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and basic knowledge in marketing and communications. Position Summary: The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with the ability to manage multiple assignments, work as part of a team, and be able to work independently with little supervision. The Intern will support marketing and communications efforts which include, but are not limited to assisting in researching and writing content for resources on adolescent health, supporting design and development of print and online materials, updating webpages and social media, communicating with members, and supporting marketing and fund development outreach efforts. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of organizational marketing and communications plan, in support of mission, vision, guiding principles, and strategic plan o Support updating Healthy Teen Network website o Support implementation of digital marketing strategy Support development and dissemination of Healthy Teen Network products and resources, such as Board of Directors recruitment packet and welcome packet, online press room, updates to various Advocacy Resource Guides and Tip Sheets, infographic on adolescent health, and/or talking points, memes, and other communications materials and advocacy resources o Support development and visual design of instructional design, such as PowerPoint or Prezi slides and other forms of e-learning modules o Support development and implementation of marketing protocols to use Healthy Teen Network’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, Salesforce o Support member recruitment and retention o Support implementation of the conference sponsorship and marketing plan, soliciting potential exhibitors, sponsors, and advertisers Support background research for the planning and writing of grant proposals Provide support to Healthy Teen Network members, as appropriate Complete special projects, as assigned 1501 ST.
