January 2016
Version 6: Issue 1
Thanks for today and tomorrow
Each December we begin to anticipate what God will do the following year. This January we look forward to the transformations that will take place in 2016 at Greater
Piedmont Teen Challenge.
Here are graduation photos of men who completed our program in 2015. They look happy, don't they? They look healthy, don't they? They look like men who have never struggled with substance abuse addiction, don't they? They are good looking men, aren't they? This is what God can do. God can take someone, who in this world's eyes, has no hope and
He gives them hope and a future. He has a plan for each one of these men. Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the L
ORD
, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
These guys didn't look like this when they came to us. Many of them didn't want to be here, but after they totally surrendered their life to Christ, their attitude changed, their behavior changed and their desires changed. What a privilege it is to watch the transformation take place. It is an honor to be part of this ministry. I hope you feel the same way. When you give to help support Teen Challenge through your donations, your prayers and your love, you are part of what is happening to help change these men's lives. You are investing in the future.
I wish I could share each man's story, but I wanted to share their pictures and the testimonies of God's mercy demonstrated in the lives of 21 men. We also have several who will be graduating this month, January.
I would like to ask you do something for them. Please remember them in prayer. They have a lot to face when they leave Teen Challenge. We need to keep them covered in prayer, asking God to keep them strong in the Lord and victorious in Jesus. I know as they continue to seek God, listen to His leading, remember what they learned in their studies at Teen Challenge, and put God first, their reward will be great.
Thank you, and God bless each of you is our prayer.
Blessings!

Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 11:25
A BROKEN ME
I gave myself to the world;
I was a vessel made of clay.
The world took and broke me, then tried to throw me away.
But then came a Potter who picked me from the floor.
His hands looked familiar and His touch I'd felt before.
The Potter's wheel started turning; could this really be?
I felt His hands forming a brand new broken me.
And when His work was fnished,
He took me through a door where broken vessels made brand new lives forevermore. by Jeff Messick
