Systems Analyst for Student Systems Systems Division Information & Communication Technology Services Are you dynamic, motivated and passionate about delivering high-quality support to your customers? Apply your communication skills and software support experience in the Production Support team of the Systems Division. The team is responsible for operations, performance and support for the University’s application systems, specifically in this case PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. The team provides 2nd and 3rd level support to the service desk functions, and works closely with super-users focused on academic administration. System Analyst responsibilities include: • providing support to users of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system and other student-related systems at UCT • designing, documenting, testing and delivering new or revised functionality • ensuring quality in UCT’s systems through systems and integration testing. Appointment will be at one of the following levels: SYSTEMS ANALYST Reference: 2460 Requirements: • at least one year relevant business or systems analysis experience • relevant certification (advantageous) • prior experience with PeopleSoft, or other systems focused on student administration, will be advantageous • a tertiary or recognised IT qualification, or at least three years’ relevant experience. SENIOR SYSTEMS ANALYST Reference: 2461 Responsibilities: • manage projects with limited UCT impact. Requirements: • at least two years’ relevant business or systems analysis experience • relevant certification (advantageous) • prior experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or other systems focused on student administration • a tertiary or recognised IT qualification, or at least three years’ relevant experience. SPECIALIST SYSTEMS ANALYST Reference: 2462 Responsibilities: • manage high-risk projects with UCT-wide impact.
