Faculty of Health Sciences
The University of Cape Town is seeking an energetic and dynamic person to join the Department of Psychiatry and
Mental Health to provide administrative support to the Head of Department.
Requirements:








Grade 12 (Matric)
Secretarial and Office Management Diploma or appropriate post-matric qualification would be advantageous.
At least two years’ experience, preferably in an educational institution.
Good computer skills, particularly: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Internet and email.
Good administrative and organizational skills.
Proficiency in English and either Afrikaans or Xhosa.
Good interpersonal skills.
Diary Management
Responsibilities:







General Office administration
Providing administrative support to the Head of Department and Academic staff.
Liaising with the office of the Dean of Health Sciences.
Working with an information database system.
Preparing documents for purchasing
Ordering of departmental stationery
Diary Management
The annual cost of employment, including benefits, is between R 214,100.00 and R 232,698.00.
