- Students will actively participate in the learning experience.

**THE BASICS: PENCIL, HIGHLIGHTER/COLORED PENCILS, NOTEBOOK PAPER**

Cell Phone/Electronic Policy

A.

Cell phones/electronics are only to be used as an instructional aide to help increase student learning, any

other use will result in the tool being taken up by the teacher.

Cell phones will be immediately taken up if:

Student is off-task (should not be out while I am talking or during activities)

2.

Student is garnering attention of classmates away from the teacher or the tool is being a distraction to students

Students is using tool to share answers on assignments

If phone is taken up:

2 st time: Can pick up after school nd time: Detention + will pick up from Assistant Principals Office

3 rd time: Will be sent to the Assistant Principal immediately

Absences and Make-up work

VI.

A.

Upon returning to class, STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE for getting any assignments that were passed out during their absence, completing them and returning them to the teacher according to the district late-work policy.

B.

School policy will be enforced. (1 class period for each day missed for daily assignments; 5 days upon return to class for quizzes and tests). Students must see the teacher immediately upon return to class to schedule make-ups for quizzes and tests. Don’t miss your assigned appointment!

C.

Students who go on field trips are expected to follow school policy and turn in their assignments prior to the date of the field trip.

Cheating

A.

Will not be tolerated! No Work = No Credit I care more about the process rather than the answers

B.

Cheating or allowing other students to copy work will result in:

1.

A loss of credit for the assignment

2.

A call to parents

3.

A referral to the appropriate assistant principal.

VII.

Tutoring

A.

As a general rule, I am available on Monday or Thursday morning, or by appointment. Always check to insure tutoring schedule for that week.

B.

Students may attend tutorials at other times with any Geometry teacher. Tutoring schedules are posted in the math hallway.
