Third Grade is a pivotal grade for academics, and it is so important for you as a parent or guardian to help your child succeed this year. The “Learning Opportunities at Home” packet will continue as you have noticed until the end of this school year. Every week, the homework will be bumped “up a notch,” so to speak. These assignments will prepare your child for Friday Assessments, Benchmark Tests, and eventually, the MAP TEST in May, 2016. This week, I will make every attempt to review this packet with the class to ensure that all students understand what and how the assignments are to be completed. As you have noticed, the packet contains a substantial amount of reading, writing, and math. In Math, your child knows that I am not interested in their answers. I am interested in HOW they arrived at the answer. If your child DOES NOT show all of the work, or prove to me that they know the method, the answer (s) will be marked wrong. Please make every effort to sign this homework packet. All of us will need to work together to make “Destination Graduation, 2025” work.
