Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Requirements All students must be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the health care provider level prior to beginning the nursing program through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Students must recertify each year they are in the program regardless of the time specified on their card for certification. Evidence of CPR certification will be required prior to beginning the program and throughout the program. CPR classes are available through the Mountain View College Continuing Education Program on an ongoing basis.
