PROBLEM There is a vast market and consumption of automobiles in our age. This condition causes several different problems to our planet . As we know automobiles have to run on gas. That causes several types of pollutions. Such as air or water. Automobiles also cause sound pollution. Another problem about using fossil fuels is it’s depletablety, so we can not use them forever. As we use fossil fuel emissions we harm to environment . Electric cars give us the solution about general pollution problem and also electricity is cheaper than fossil fuels. PRIOR ART There is a developing market about electrical cars. U.S. , Germany , Japan have big pies on this market. So we are obligated to buy from them the electrical cars. That is expensive, hard to transport and export . GAP Turkey has to aim to be leader on this market and firstly has to makes it’s own electrical car. DESIRED FUNCTIONS light, POWER fast to approximately 356 horsepower. 100 km/h speed in 10 seconds cheap minimum price should be 30.000 $, maximum price is 69.999 $ safe Our EV should reach. It’s electric motor should generate 265 Kwatt electrical power which correspondS It should go 150 km without stopping in highway and 120 km in city with 8 hour charge (in regular city voltage in Turkey which is 220 volt, f=50 1/s). It should be charged 10.000- 12.500 times which is approximately 30 years. (we covered it water proof material.) We used 2.5 meters , carbon fiber chassis which can mount 850 kg. We used carbon fiber material to cover extrerior. We used 8 wheels to make the EV more balanced. Safe: 8 airbags, We furnished the Ev ‘s inside with leather material., PERFORMANCE TESTS: Euro NCAP IIHS(Insurance Institute of Highway Safety) Battery tests RESULTS acceptance and our EV has passed all the Euro NCAP test and took 4 star on 5. It also has high points on adult and child occupant protection and pedestrian protection. That shows our plug-in EV can be as safe as another regular cars. After the safety tests the EV’s performance tests proved that EV can reach 100 km/h speed in 10 seconds. Battery tests show that the EV can be charged with city voltage in 8 hours and can be charged in 1 hour in special facilities. Fuel rate – performance tests showed on the graph that when the batteries fall off under %25 performance/distance rate and efficiency decreased %8. The EV’s first design on computer aided 3D prototype on solidworks costs 8.000£ The EV’s safety and performance tests costs us 10 electrical vehicles. Total cost of the EV is 21.000 $
