Classroom Procedures:
1. Enter class quietly. Go directly to your seat.
2. Keep science materials on desk. All other items go under seat. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ANY
LAB ITEMS ON YOUR DESK UNTIL INTRUCTED TO DO SO. We will do many labs in class
and you may find items on your desk. If you choose not to follow procedures you will be removed from
the lab activity and will complete an alternative assignment.
3. Completely copy agenda into your agenda book.
4. Be ready to learn!
Classroom Expectations:
Every student is expected to follow the classroom rules listed below.
 Be responsible (follow directions, stay on task, be on time)
 Come to class prepared (bring required classroom materials, homework, and be ready to
learn)
 Always show respect to yourself, be nice (WE ARE BULLY FREE), raise your hand to
speak, listen when others are speaking
 Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
 Science materials are to be treated with care. Improper use of any equipment will cause
future lab privileges to be taken away and could result in an administrative write-up.
Late Work:
Late work will not be accepted unless with an excused absent note from the office. Late work must be turned in
within the allotted time as directed in school policy. If a student is unable to complete all missing assignments
by the deadline, they will be encourages to attend Monday Make-up. Students must register themselves and
gather all missing assignments themselves from their teachers. This program is thoroughly explained in the
CCMS handbook.
Test Taking:
Students are expected to do their own work. On occasion, students may be permitted to use notes or other
materials during a test. An announcement will be made before the test is distributed if notes are permitted. If a
student chooses to use materials or use another student’s test when not permitted, they will receive a ZERO on
the test.
Extra Credit:
It is extremely important for students to stay caught up with homework and take advantage of Monday Make-up
when needed. Absolutely no extra credit will be offered to an individual student. Extra credit may be offered
to a class or group, but must be completed by the deadline determined on the extra credit directions.
