This week we have been… Extending our learning through play.
Following our own interests.
Getting to know each other.
Introduced to the new theme; ‘Pets’.
Caring for our environment and being responsible for carrying out small tasks.
Moving in a variety of ways.
For our cooking we… made milk shake and talked about the observations we made as the milk changed colour.
Ideas for home- Can you find a book about an animal? The children are welcome to bring their book in to share at carpet time (please ensure it is named).
About Nursery:
The children are able to change their books on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please encourage the children to put their bags in the yellow box- thank you.
Thursday: Mr Keeler will be working with the children on a Thursday. We are altering our PE sessions a little to become more in line with the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework’. Mr Keeler’s activities will support the children’s development across the following areas in particular-
Physical Development, Expressive Arts and Design, Literacy and Communication and Language. This week he encouraged the children to move creatively and to think about how the animals in our story might move.
Friday: Cooking.
