St Ignatius Primary School Nursery Autumn 1 Dear Parents and Carers, Over this half term our emphasis is ensuring that the children settle well into nursery. It is a big event in their lives and for many of you too. If you have any concerns at all, please come and talk to one of us in the nursery. Book bags can be bought from us in the nursery. We change the books over every week on a Wednesday. The reading record booklet should be kept in your child’s book bag. We are focussing on nursery rhymes this half term. They are enjoyable to sing and they offer good learning opportunities. We are starting with Incy Wincy Spider; September is ‘Spider Season’. The children enjoy seeing their beautiful webs, counting their legs and learning about their shapes. Each rhyme promotes different elements of the children’s learning and development. Please make sure your child has suitable clothes for the changing weather and that they wear shoes that are good for climbing and running. Piggy money is £8 per term. Please give your contribution to nursery staff, thank-you. We really appreciate your clean recyclable junk: lids, tubes, plastic containers etc for junk modelling. This comes with a warm welcome to St Ignatius School and with high hopes that the children will start their school lives happily. Many thanks from the Nursery Team
