One-on-one Coaching: CTC members are welcome to meet with a career coach up to once per week at
no cost. Meetings last approximately one hour and can be with multiple different coaches of your
choice, who are from diverse professional backgrounds. Upon reaching the action stage of transition,
clients report benefiting from the mock video interview session (see Action Phase for more information).
Building Skills for the Job Search - Know Yourself and Where You’re Going: This workshop helps clients
take stock and visit/revisit career direction. Helpful whether a client seeks traction in job search or is
creating a next chapter in his/her career.
CTC Assessments: Strong Vocational Interest Inventory, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Part II, and
additional assessments offered at CTC for clients to gain greater self- and situational awareness.
Leveraging the Value of Coaching: This 90-minute workshop helps CTC clients leverage the value and
use of coaching to aid the organization and execution of successful transition.
Life Map: Charting Your Course to a Life of Greater Purpose and Meaning: comprehensive work-life
coaching program is for those seeking greater purpose and meaning in work, relationships, personal
growth and finances. Serves those navigating life change: job/career transition, mid-career, mid-life and
pre-retirement.
CTC StrengthFinders Group: Participants work to discover and focus on strengths, create a distinctive
value statement and strengths-based success stories that can positively impact career search/success.
Quarterly Personal/Professional Branding Workshop: among the most popular programs at CTC, this
workshop helps clients identify their unique values and personal strengths, and advice on how to market
themselves as a distinct asset to potential employers.
Quarterly Informational Interviewing Workshop: informational interviewing is one of the best ways to
gain greater insight into a position you are interested in, and can lead to a job interview. Informational
interview etiquette and tips are discussed from start to finish, including who to ask for an informational
interview, how to ask, what to ask, and how to follow-up afterwards.
Weekly Peer Groups and Networking Sessions: Weekly peer groups serve CTC clients by each
participant seeking progress and accountability in job search/transition activities.
Planning
Building Skills for the Job Search - Present Your Best Self in Writing: We examine how to position and
convey your compelling case in every communication from emails, to resumes, cover letters, and all of a
job seeker's marketing tools for success in today’s job market.
Building Skills for the Job Search - Networking: This session provides perspectives and essentials of
productive, mutually serving outreach.
CTC Resume Clinic, facilitated by a CTC coach each month for clients to bring resume/communicationsrelated questions and get resume review.
A Plan for Progress: How to Structure and Execute a Job Search Project Plan: This workshop teaches
clients to manage a search project plan with guidance, tools and time/activity management techniques.
Bi-Weekly LinkedIn Webinars: This one-hour facilitated webinar is for those who want to use LinkedIn
more effectively in their job search.

participant seeking progress and accountability in job search/transition activities.
Action
Building Skills for the Job Search - Awesome Interviewing and Winning Negotiation provides
techniques of effective interviewing in today's job market and how to confidently negotiate terms of
employment.
Weekly Peer Groups and Networking Sessions: Weekly peer groups serve CTC clients by each
participant seeking progress and accountability in job search/transition activities.
Mock Video Interview: meet one-on-one with CTC coaches Jim McLaughlin or Harry Sheehy for a mock
interview which will be video taped. Coach feedback and review of video is included, and clients are
welcome to take the video and examine it on their own for an outside perspective of how they
interview. No cost for CTC members.
CTC Emotional Intelligence for Enhanced Professional and Personal Connection helps mid-career
professionals create and sustain success by furthering interpersonal effectiveness.
St. Chrysostom’s Employment Council Monday Evening Speaker Series Held at St. Chrys’, a CTC
sponsor, on the North Side each Monday evening, the speakers present on a job-search related topic.
Participants are encouraged to network following the presentation. Organized and facilitated by
members of the well-established Employment Council of the St. Chrys’ congregation.
Strategies for Success through Onboarding: offered in four consecutive sessions held on Saturday
mornings, these workshops serve those who have just landed and offers tips for success at one’s new
job. Designed for professionals at every career stage, Onboarding sets up new employees for success
through advice with assimilating to company culture, building relationships, and staying focused on key
