A warm welcome!!! 2013 third term is packed with a lot of activities and exciting new
developments which we wish to share with you our dear parents / guardians. Excellence
remains our motto to attain high standards of education and to achieve good results this

CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN- 17 SEPTEMBER 2013
Mother Touch is committed to adding value to the community in which it works and the
nation at large. Hence as part of our corporate social responsibility, we shall launch a
cancer awareness campaign on the 17th of September 2013 from 1100 hours to 1300 hours
and the march will be around Tynwald South. The purpose of the march is to conscientise
people on the causes, dangers and possible preventive measures of cancer infections.
EXAMINATION COACHING FOR ‘O’LEVEL CANDIDATES- 23 SEPTEMBER 2013
A programme has been designed to coach our ‘O’level candidates for the 2013 ZIMSEC
examinations techniques for effective candidateship. This is scheduled for Monday the 23rd
of September 2013.
HIGH SCHOOL PRIZE GIVING DAY – 04 OCTOBER 2013
Friday 4 October 2013 is scheduled for High School Prize giving day and this is a time to
celebrate and reward the achievements of our children. Please be there and motivate your
child for excelling. The event starts at 0900 hours and ends at 1130 hours.
EXEAT WEEKEND – 18-21 OCTOBER 2013
Please be advised that schools will break for Exeat weekend starting on the 18th of October
2013 and will resume on the 22nd of October 2013.
‘O’ LEVEL EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS- 25 OCTOBER-18 NOVEMBER 2013
Please note that our High School students will have their external examinations (ZIMSEC)
from the 25th of October to the 18th of November.
MEGA ECD AND JUNIOR SCHOOL PRIZE GIVING DAY, OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF OUR WEBSITE
AND COMMISSIONING OF THE NEW SCHOOL BUS AND SWIMMING POOL – 26 OCTOBER
2013
Mother Touch Group of Schools, on the 26th of October 2013, shall have the grand
opportunity of celebrating its successes. This is the time when we award our pupils who
have performed exceptionally well at the same time encourage the rest of the pupils to do
well. The event starts from 0900 hours to 1200hours.
On the same day, our new website will be officially launched. Mother Touch Group of
Schools is a dynamic school, growing and advancing in technology and hence we are proud
to announce that we have set up a website to ease communication with parents and all our
stake holders. We are heading towards an absolutely paperless office and environmentally
friendly practice, implying that with immediate effect, all circulars, homework assignments,
pupils’ progress reports and news updates shall be emailed to you or published on our
website page www.mothertouch.ac.zw Those who do not have email accounts are kindly
advised to open email accounts so that they do not miss out on any communication from
the school.
The long awaited new school bus has since arrived and we are very excited to invite all
parents to come on the 26th of October at the Junior School, and grace the new school bus
and the newly constructed swimming pool. We thank the SDA and all parents for the
contribution that you extended for the bus project to become a success.
HIGH SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS – 15-29 NOVEMBER 2013
Our High School pupils shall start their end of year examinations on the 15th to the 29th of
November 2013. We believe our children will definitely perform well after the whole year
of hard work.
LEAVERS DINNER – 19 NOVEMBER 2013
The outgoing pupils shall set off in style and fun and shall have their leavers dinner on the
19th of November 2013. This will be a memorable moment for our children to bid farewell
to each other as they leave the school. Cost for the dinner is $10 per student and they shall
have the dinner at the High School.
SCHOOL DEVELOPMENTS
We wish to invite all parents to attend a very important meeting concerning school
developments namely bus levy and preparation of exams for our students on the 7th of
October from 1730 hours to 1830 hours.
As the school, we wish to conscientise parents on the need to secure vacational
attachments for your children after completing their ‘O’ level exams in the areas they
intend to pursue for their respective careers. The period they will be awaiting their results
is such a lengthy time whereby the children must not be kept idle as there is a saying which
goes “an idle mind is a devil’s workshop”. Going to work will help to keep them busy,
understand work in their area of interest, remain focussed in their educational career and
to become responsible members of society. The school will select three of our very own
students for the attachments.
School will close on the 5th of December 2013. Thank you dear parents and guardians for
