A warm welcome!!! 2013 third term is packed with a lot of activities and exciting new
developments which we wish to share with you our dear parents / guardians. Excellence
remains our motto to attain high standards of education and to achieve good results this
term and in the future years to come. Kindly take time to peruse through our 3rd term

All pupils are expected to pay $1 towards each civic day. Those who come in school uniform
will pay $2.
CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN- 17 SEPTEMBER 2013
Mother Touch is committed to adding value to the community in which it works and the
nation at large. Hence as part of our corporate social responsibility, we shall launch a
cancer awareness campaign on the 17th of September 2013 from 1100 hours to 1300 hours
and the march will be around Tynwald South. The purpose of the march is to conscientise
people on the causes, dangers and possible preventive measures of cancer infections.
KARIBA EDUCATIONAL TRIP – 09-12 OCTOBER 2013
Here comes another exciting learning opportunity for our children in a refreshing and
relaxed outdoor environment at Kariba. The educational trip is scheduled for the 9th to the
12th of October 2013 and the pupils will be housed at the magnificent 3 - Star Caribbea Bay
Hotel surrounded with a Mediterranean atmosphere. Geographical and scientific concepts
will be reinforced as the students visit the Kariba Dam, the Hydro-electricity generating
plant and the bridge that connects Zimbabwe to Zambia. Other activities include super
tube, game drive, sunset cruise and a lot more. Dear parents/guardians, you need to
capitalise on this opportunity to invest in the effective learning of your child. If you wish for
your child to go on this unforgettable experience, a trip fee of $250 should be paid by 20th
of September 2013 and please note that late payments will not be accepted.
EXEAT WEEKEND – 18-21 OCTOBER 2013
Please be advised that schools will break for Exeat weekend starting on the 18th of October
2013 and will resume on the 22nd of October 2013.
MEGA ECD AND JUNIOR SCHOOL PRIZE GIVING DAY, OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF OUR WEBSITE
AND COMMISSIONING OF THE NEW SCHOOL BUS AND SWIMMING POOL – 26 OCTOBER
2013
Mother Touch Group of Schools, on the 26th of October 2013, shall have the grand
opportunity of celebrating its successes. This is the time when we award our pupils who
have performed exceptionally well at the same time encourage the rest of the pupils to do
well. The event starts from 0900 hours to 1200hours.
On the same day, our new website will be officially launched. Mother Touch Group of
Schools is a dynamic school, growing and advancing in technology and hence we are proud
to announce that we have set up a website to ease communication with parents and all our
stake holders. We are heading towards an absolutely paperless office and environmentally
friendly practice, implying that with immediate effect, all circulars, homework assignments,
pupils’ progress reports and news updates shall be emailed to you or published on our
website page www.mothertouch.ac.zw Those who do not have email accounts are kindly
advised to open email accounts so that they do not miss out on any communication from
the school.
The long awaited new school bus has since arrived and we are very excited to invite all
parents to come on the 26th of October at the Junior School, and grace the new school bus
and the newly constructed swimming pool. We thank the SDA and all parents for the
contribution that you extended for the bus project to become a success.
JUNIOR SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS – 15-29 NOVEMBER 2013
Our Junior School pupils shall start their end of year examinations on the 15th to the 29th of
November 2013. We believe our children will definitely perform well after the whole year
of hard work.
