Opening and Administrative The Chair called the meeting to order at 10.00 ET on June 27, 2015. The Agenda was approved. The Secretary reviewed the antitrust rules. The purpose of the t-con was to review Supplement 156, Final Text. 2. Supplement 156 – Planar MPR Volumetric Presentation State {WI 2008-04-C} This was a continuation of the review and approval of the Final Text; the Supplement passed Letter Ballot already. J. Luszcz presented the document posted in the meeting folder: < sup156_PlanarMPR_20150602_FinalTextCandidate.docx> and discussed the changes since the last t-con. At the last tcon of WG-06 Harry Solomon asked for separate pipeline drawings for each SOP Class (grayscale Fig. X.2-1.-P-value pipeline, and composite Fig. X.2-2 - line 725.) J. Luszcz reviewed the SOP Class constraints (Pt 4 Section B.5.1.x). After the last WG-06 t-con WG-11 held another t-con and made some additional changes. J. Luszcz reviewed these changes: o Discussed the last few two parts of the document - PS 3.17 Y.5 which provided informative examples of the use of the Weighting Table and Y.6 that provided example classification/compositing pipeline configurations, both referring to aspects of the Volumetric Presentation State Display Module. Wim had also suggested some clarifications to the use of Weighting Transfer Function Sequence (0070,x806) in several examples in PS 3.17 Y.3 by adding a placeholder row in the example tables for the SQ items that were omitted for simplicity. o Weighting table..use the strongest signal in output table instead of mixing the signals. Figure Y.3.7-1 o Changed ‘alpha’ to’ magnitude’ in Table &.3.7-4 o Section Y – made use of Alpha-1 consistent o Y.5.4 (line 615) is seen by WG-06 for the first time at this t-con (weighting LUTs for threshold compositing). o Y.5.5 ‘Noise elimination compositing’ was reviewed-allows vendors choosing algorithms. Members suggested changing the title to ‘Background noise masking’ or deleting it. It was deleted. _____________________________ Working Group Six (Base Standard) of the DICOM Standards Committee CP’s July 27, 2015 o Figures Y.6.1-Y.6.6 are generic illustrations, not connected to any specific use case. Suggested to revise Y.6-1 to show that the Alpha is going nowhere. It was discussed that these are very useful. Joe reviewed that these were first in Pt3, moved to Pt4 and finally Pt 17. Some revisions were made during the discussion. The revised document was posted as < sup156_PlanarMPR_20150727_FinalTextCandidate.docx>. NEXT STEPS: The Chair noted that at the September WG-06 meeting a few minutes will be taken from the Administration item on Monday to vote on this Final Text. 4.
