Opening
The meeting was called to order at 10.00 am USA Eastern Time. T. Freier, attending for the first time, introduced himself: DICOM educator, cooperating with Merge on workshops. C. Kahn explained the purpose of WG-29. The Agenda was approved. The minutes were reviewed. The Secretary reviewed the antitrust rules.

The Secretary explained the logistical arrangements. The meeting and workshop venue, lunches and breaks and transportation as well as hotel arrangements have been made and / or sponsored by CIMICS, the China-based member of the DSC. The members expressed appreciation to
CIMICS.
The following tasks have been identified:
Secretary o Follow-up communication to DSC and others to firm up attendance o Contact the Bangalore Day 1 speakers on core DICOM information – are they available? o Arrange registration/sign-up for the Workshop o Confirm transportation between hotel and venue, decline airport pick-up.

Chengdu workshop
The attendance at the Workshop will include people working in healthcare informatics and university graduate students. CIMICS will publicize the Workshop.
The Group reviewed the Core Presentations of Bangalore Day 1 and selected topics for
Chengdu.
The intention of the Group is to have presentations available in both English and
Chinese
The Group concluded that it would be highly desirable to add DICOMweb to the topics to explain the new web services of DICOM.
Combine D. Harvey’s presentations into a single presentation.
HOMEWORK:
T. Freier will consider his availability and will propose a topic if he can present in
Chengdu
The Secretary will make first draft of the program
The Secretary will find out the lead-time needed for presentations in order to translate them by CIMICS into Chinese
Brad Generaux will explore his availability to provide the presentations on
DICOMweb

Format and process of free DICOM information to implementers
WG-29 was asked by WG-02 to suggest the format and publication channel for information developed for implementers of DICOM (general or specific to a product group or modality.)
