Historic Prince William Presents Bring your own picnic lunch, learn about, and tour one of the oldest plantation homes “Bel Air” in Prince William County. Saturday May 17, 2014 11:30 am -1:00pm Join Historic Prince William in our “Bring Your Own Brown Bag Lunch” picnic which means that everyone that wants to participate in the event should bring their own lunch to eat on the grounds of Bel Air Plantation. Historic Prince William members will be providing water, tea, lemonade, ice, and cookies for all attendees. We will also be asking attendees to bring a lawn chair for themselves. This event begins at 11:30 am and attendees can eat their lunches and grab drinks between that time and Noon. At Noon, attendees will be rewarded by enjoying an historic overview of the Bel Air property, followed by tours through the mansion house. In case of a forecast of rain or threatening weather we will make a decision whether to go forward with the event by 8:00 pm on Friday May 16, 2014 and that decision will be posted on our website – www.historicprincewilliam.org. If the weather forecast looks fine we will go ahead with the event as planned, but we do not want to do any damage to the property in the case of rain. All information about a possible cancellation/reschedule will also be posted on our website – www.historicprincewilliam.org.
