Circle of Friends

Meetings: TBA
Meetings: During homeroom
Students both with and without disabilities meet weekly for breakfast in a general education
setting. They talk, share stories and jokes, play games, and hang out together. It gives
students who struggle with social skills and interactions an opportunity to learn from their
peers more appropriate behavior when in a group setting. Although advisors are present to
assist with instruction of social skills and supervise the meeting, the program is designed to
be student-centered, allowing the students who struggle with these skills to learn from kids
their own age.
