Class Expectations:
Each student is expected to act in a manner that is conducive to learning for all students. Students
have the right to a safe, comfortable learning environment where they are able to reach their potential.
Student responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Be on time for class
Active participation
Be respectful to other people’s opinions, feelings, and property
No hats or hoods worn in class
No eating food (excluding water)
No sleeping in class
No use of unapproved electronic devices (I-pod, cell phone, etc.)
Bring 3-ring binder, notebook, pen/pencil to each class.
Consequences:
Excessive violations of rules can lead to any of the following
1. Warning
2. Isolated from group
3. Email or phone call home to parents/guardian
4. Before or after school detention
5. Referral to assistant principal
Grades:
1. Passing this course is required for graduation.
2. Your grade will be based on following items throughout each marking period.
a. Notebook, Journal and/or Blogs
b. Test/Quizzes
c. Classroom Assignments, Participation, & Attitude
d. Projects or Major Assignments
3. If absent, students are responsible for all missed work and assignments within allotted time
given by teacher.
4. Work that is considered late will not receive full credit.
5. No work may be made up for a skipped class
Class Requirement:
There is no textbook assigned for this class. Therefore, students will receive numerous handouts,
articles, and worksheets throughout the semester. Students are required to keep all material for review
and study preparation. Notebooks will be checked and graded throughout the marking period. All
students should bring the following to each class:
1. Three ring binder to keep all materials and documents throughout semester.
2. Notebook to write class notes
3. Pen/pencil
