bell.
 You must be prepared for class.
 There is NO eating or drinking in the classroom, including water, juice, candy and gum.
 One person speaks at a time. Be respectful of each other.
 Listen attentively and follow all directions given.
 All homework and class work is to be completed and turned in on time. Assignments
turned in late will not receive full credit. The maximum score for late assignments is 75.
Being Prepared:
YOU are expected to be prepared each day. Being prepared means that you must bring
the items listed below to class each day. Failure to be prepared will result in a zero for class
work for the day and will adversely affect your marking period grade.

3. A supply of loose leaf. A single sheet or a couple of sheets is NOT sufficient!
Tests and Quizzes:
Both tests and quizzes will be taken from notebook material as well as handouts. Please
note that certain test and quiz questions will be taken from homework assignments. If you have
an unexcused absence on the day of an exam, you will NOT be allowed to make it up. In cases of
excused absences, makeup exams are administered at 7am the day after you return to school
Failure to take the exam at that time will result in a zero.
Homework:
Homework is assigned throughout the semester. Assignments will be posted and you are
expected to copy the material into your agenda. Should you be absent, YOU are responsible for
contacting me or another student to obtain any missing notes or assignments. You can also refer
to my website for homework or project information. Being absent does not excuse you from
an assignment. Assignments are due the day after you return to school unless otherwise
instructed.

In order for you to do well in this class, you will need to be prepared for class each day. The “Do
Now” must be started immediately upon entering class. You must participate in class. This
class will entail discussion and require that you think before you speak. You must be attentive to
what your classmates and I are discussing. In short, this class will demand that you give of
yourself, open your mind and question what is being discussed.
