(Community) Chapter Treasurer Crohn’s and Colitis Canada promises to find the cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the lives of children and adults affected by these chronic diseases. Volunteers are key team members who help us deliver on this promise to the 1 million Canadians touched by these devastating chronic diseases. Are you the right fit to join our team as a (Community) Chapter Treasurer? As the Chapter Treasurer, you will provide oversight to the Chapter for financial activities, including: Acting as the lead volunteer where cheque writing is taking place at the Chapter level. Can additionally support other financial transactions, including deposits and handling cash if needed. Provide training and support to Chapter volunteers to ensure all organizational and CRA policies and guidelines are met Create financial reports and summaries for the Chapter as needed Working with the President to ensure the Chapter maintains good standing with all accounts/vendors, as well as updating signatories on accounts with National office support Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week for ongoing support and liaison with Chapter volunteers Evening and weekend activity is required to attend Chapter meetings and capture high traffic times. Some daytime availability is ideal for liaison with staff partner (phone calls, emails) This role requires a commitment of a minimum of 1 year, with option for re-election What you bring: Experience handling finances and financial transactions.
