2015 Honor Choir Information
Dear Parents,
Your child has the opportunity to audition for the 2015 Belton Independent School District 5th Grade
Honor Choir. This is a great opportunity for selected 5th graders from all of the Belton Elementary schools
to come together to perform in a special concert. Below is some information about the choir so you will
understand the commitment you and your child will be making if selected for participation.
To be eligible students must meet and maintain the following requirements:
1)
Audition for their music teacher-proficiency in matching pitch, reading rhythms, and healthy vocal
production.
2)
Maintain passing grades
3)
Be in good standing regarding attendance in school
4)
Demonstrate good conduct in all classes (no suspensions this year)
Other honor choir member responsibilities:
1)
Attend at least four of the five regular rehearsals shown on the schedule attached
2)
Attend the mandatory final rehearsal
3)
Perform in the performance
4)
Pay a$10 fee (due Oct. 21st) to defray the cost of the t-shirt (worn in performance)
