Students will be able to read and understand stories taken from two textbooks and other sources meant to practice both reading and reading comprehension skills. Stories include holidays, Jewish events, and Derech Eretz. Students will also be able to write short paragraphs. Writing book reports throughout the year. Writing assignments in the classroom and at home. Writing quizzes and tests, while using correct grammar. Changing an ending to a story, making up new endings from their imagination. Book reports, written assignments and homework. Conversation Conversation Conversation Emphasis will be put on encouraging the students to converse in Hebrew, based on their individual level. Students should express the way they feel on a daily basis using an interactive board in the class. Students will a complete conversation unit about "The Seasons". Students will be encouraged to converse mainly in Hebrew during class, and by doing so will improve their conversation skills. Students will learn new vocabulary by using flash cards, games, and computer programs. Vocabulary quizzes and tests, conversation quizzes and tests. Assessments through Hebrew presentation, and daily conversation. GRADING POLICY: All grades will be posted on RenWeb.
