To complete this project, you will make a nine-piece puzzle that give the reader clues about the mystery story you have read. Materials Needed: Puzzle Pieces Construction Paper Colored Pencils/Markers/ Crayons Procedure: 1. Number your puzzle pieces 1-9 2. Piece #1 should include a creative display of the title and author of the book. 3. Piece #2 should tell the detective or person who is solving the mystery with an illustration. 4. Piece #3 should describe the victim of the crime or mystery 5. Piece #4 should illustrate the setting of story with label 6. Piece #5 should tell the reader about the problem (mystery) of the story 7. Piece #6 should tell 3 main events of the story 8. Piece #7 should tell the reader 3 clues that could help solve the mystery 9. Piece #8 should include the climax or most intense part of the story 10.Piece #9 should explain your favorite part of the story 11. Paste down your puzzle pieces on your construction paper. Then decorate the space around you puzzle with the “theme” of your book. Have fun and be creative! 12. Use the story map on back of this paper to keep track of information as you read.
