1. Opening
The meeting was called to order at 13.00 USA Eastern Time. Qian Wang, attending for the first
time, was introduced. He has 8 years of DICOM experience and is a native Chinese speaker. He will
participate as a speaker at the Chengdu Conference. The Agenda was approved: to develop the Chengdu
conference program. The minutes of the last tcon were approved. The Secretary reviewed the antitrust
rules.

The following reports were given on the previous homework assignments:
 the registration web site has been set up
 minimum of 5 days are needed for translation of the power point presentations
 the draft program was assembled and distributed
Review of the Workshop Program:
 WG-29 Co-Chair J. Medema is not able to attend
 The draft program was previously distributed and was now revised based on consensus of
attendees.
 DEADLINE for speakers – Post Completed presentations (in English) by July 29, 2014. Post
presentations as soon as available, to ftp://d9workgrps@medical.nema.org/medical/Private/Dicom/Conferences/2014-ChengduWorkshop/Presentations
 The program will include an HL-7 related presentation due to use in China – Y. Bao will present
it.
 CIMICS will make a presentation on state of implementation of DICOM in China
 Harry Solomon will make the multiframe presentation
 Qian will translate into Chinese own presentations
 Brad Genereaux will make DICOMweb related presentations
NEW HOMEWORK
 Yongjian Bao
o Translate current registration site
o Proof read the Chinese translations of all presentations
o Contact and clarify with CIMICS whether a separate Chinese web site will be set up to
communicate the Workshop and its program
o Translate program as revised
o Find out aspect ratio of the projectors
 Sec. note: it will be 4:3

o Will prepare / update the two D. Harvey presentations and will prepare Chinese
translation and will post it to the new ftp directory
