‫הרפואה המודרנית ביססה את מעמדה במאה ה‪ 20-‬כאחד מהמוסדות החברתיים רבי העוצמה האמונים על‬
‫הגדרת הגבול שבין "בריאות" לבין "חולי"‪ ,‬בין "נורמאליות" לבין "א‪-‬נורמאליות"‪ ,‬ועל הטיפול במגוון‬
‫רחב של "ליקויי גוף ונפש"‪ .‬הקורס יתמקד בהיבטים הפוליטיים‪ ,‬מוסדיים‪ ,‬ארגוניים ומקצועיים של השיח‬
‫הרפואי‪ ,‬תוך הצגת מושגי יסוד ודיון בסוגיות נבחרות בסוציולוגיה ובאנתרופולוגיה של הרפואה‬
‫המודרנית‪.‬‬
‫מטרת הקורס‪ :‬לחשוף את התלמידים ליחסי הגומלין המורכבים בין חברה ורפואה תוך הקניית מושגי‬
‫יסוד בסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה של הרפואה‪.‬‬
