T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1)
CLOSING DATE (AT 14:00): Friday, 2 October 2015
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the provision of
Consulting Engineering Services for the doubling of the Gwaing river bridge crossing on National Route
2 Section 7 km 17.3. This project is in the province of the Western Cape and in the district municipality of
Eden and the approximate programme is for design and construction documentation to be completed by
October 2016 followed by supervision of 30 months, commencing January 2017.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.
It is a requirement of this project that the Service Provider enters into a contract (either through partnership, joint venture or sub-contracting) with a Targeted Enterprise(s) as defined in the Contract Data to perform a minimum of 20 percent (20 %) of the work.

TENDERER’S MEETING
A compulsory ten derer’s clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at:
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd, 1 Havenga Street, Oakdale, Bellville, on Friday, 18
September 2015 starting at 10h00.
At least 1 (one) technical competent person of the tenderer shall attend the clarification meeting.
Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the meeting and their submissions shall be declared nonresponsive.
COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS
The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14:00 on Friday, 2 October 2015.
Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data.
Requirements for completing, sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
