The United Nations Office for Project Services – Sri Lanka Operations Centre (hereinafter
called as "UNOPS-LKOC") invites sealed Tenders from eligible Contractors who have ICTAD
(Institution of Construction Training and Development – Sri Lanka) Registration Grade
M2/C3 and above under any category for Construction of 260 meter long breakwater at
Suduwella Anchorage in Matara District (hereinafter called "Works”), under the terms set
forth in the Tender Documents.
Tender Documents may be purchased by interested and eligible Tenderers from UNOPSLKOC Head Office, 118/5, Nawala Road, Colombo 05 between 9.00am to 5.00pm on
business days from 15th September 2010 until 01st October 2010 on submission of a written
request along with copy of ICTAD grade registration accompanying a payment to UNOPSLKOC of a non-refundable fee of Sri Lankan Rupees 2,000.00 in cash only.
All tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security from a reputable bank acceptable to
the UNOPS-LKOC in the prescribed format and must be addressed to the Director of UNOPSLKOC; the amounts of tender security shall be Sri Lankan Rupees 1,500,000.00 and valid for
120 calendar days from the date of closure of the tender.
All sealed tenders shall be delivered, in accordance with the Instructions to Tenderers, on or
before 2.00 pm on 05th October 2010 to the UNOPS-LKOC Head Office-Colombo. Tenders
will be opened at 2.30 pm on 05th October 2010 at UNOPS-LKOC Head Office. Tenderers or
their authorized representatives may be present at the opening of tenders as witnesses.
Tenders received after the stipulated closing time will be rejected and returned unopened.
Pre-tender meetings will be held at 10.00 am on 23rd September 2010 at the UNOPS-LKOC
Head Office - Colombo to clarify any matters pertaining to this tender.

Please note that no remuneration will be made to bidders for preparation and
submission of bids.
