COOLED FRESH TRANSPORTED SEMEN
SALES AGREEMENT
This Agreement is for the 2014 breeding season and is entered into by and between NCF Farms c/o Nancy
Fagan, herein designated “Stallion Owner”, and ______________________________________ “Mare
Owner”, for the Mare (reg’d name) ___________________________ with Registry
______________________________ and the Stallion ASHER. The Mare Owner agrees as follows;
1.
The Mare Owner hereby agrees to purchase Fresh Cooled Semen from the above Stallion at
the following Breeding Fee of $1,250. This includes the first collection fee. This includes a
Live Foal Guarantee.
2.
The mare owner warrants that the mare is in sound breeding condition as qualified by a
veterinarian. It is recommended but not a necessity that the mare has a recent culture. Mare
Owner agrees to have mare bred by a qualified veterinarian who has access to an ultrasound
machine.
3.
The mare owner will provide a copy of the mare’s registration papers with this contract.
4.
For Live Foal Guarantee, foal shall stand and nurse and have proper attendance at birthing.
5.
Should the mare fail to be in foal after initial insemination Stallion Owner agrees to ship
cooled semen for a repeat service, upon receipt of a signed vet certificate confirming that the
mare is not in foal, plus payment for a subsequent collection.
6.
All attempts will be made by the Stallion Owner to collect semen promptly and efficiently as
long as Stallion Owner is kept informed about the mare’s progress.
7.
Fed-Ex delivers the following day by 5:00 p.m. “ Direct drive” Airport is offered for out of
province/cross border deliveries for an additional charge. Fed-Ex does not pick up on
Saturdays or Sundays. There are no shipments made on Sundays. There is a $30 semen box
fee charged upfront. No return of box is required.
8.
A licensed veterinarian must inseminate the mare. The Mare Owner is solely responsible for
having said vet complete, sign and deliver original “Transported Semen Report“, placing it
back inside the attached self addressed envelope and mailing it back to Stallion Owner.

9.
The stallions name cannot be numerically sequenced, ie. ASHER II, for the foal’s name.
10.
Mare Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless, Stallion Owner, its agents, servants,
employees and each of them, from any and all claims, demands, causes of actions, damages,
cost expenses, losses or liabilities, arising out of, or in any manner connected with the
management of the stallion by the Stallion Owner with regard to the breeding or injury to the
Mare, Mare Owner, or foal.
11.
This agreement is binding upon the parties, their heirs and assigns and may be amended only
in writing by both parties, and is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
