Breeding contract for Davidoff

The mare owner agrees to pay the stallion owner the following fees:




A non-refundable booking fee of $300.00, which is due at the signing of this
contract. This fee will be deducted from the non-refundable service fee of
$1200.00, this service fee includes GST and the 1st collection and comes with a
Life Foal Guarantee (LFG).
Please note there is an additional charge for the transportation of semen. Please
inquire with Matamata Vets what charges will apply.
The remainder of the service fee is payable before the first shipment of semen,
please note no semen will be sent until all fee’s are paid.
No collection fee will be charged for the collection of the first semen shipment.
Each subsequent semen shipment will be liable for a collection fee ($230 approx)
plus transport costs. Please inquire with Matamata Vets what charges will apply.
Where possible orders for semen are to be placed 48 hours before the semen
is required.
Return service / Life foal guarantee
If the mare is not in-foal, she can return in the following breeding season, but will be
liable for another booking fee, collection costs and transport costs for the semen. The
mare will be limited to four inseminations in any one breeding season.
If the foal does not survive longer than 48 hours, the life foal guarantee applies. A
veterinary certificate must be provided to the stallion owner within a week of the
examination.
All rights of return to the stallion do not include booking fees, collection and
transportation fees.
If the mare becomes unable to breed for any reason, the mare owner may swap the
return service.
Warranty: The stallion owner is not liable for cost, delayed or damaged semen due
to circumstances beyond her control.
Refund: If the Stallion dies or becomes unfit for breeding prior to serving the mare in
the present breeding season a full refund, less booking fee, will be given. However if
the Mare has already had her first insemination a full refund less booking fee and
Stallion collection costs will be given.
No refunds will be given, except as above. Mare owners, with KM Performance
Ponies permission, may swap their mare for another mare or on sell their breeding
agreement if the mare is unable to conceive.
