Day 1 – Tuesday 1st April 2014 Cabin Crew Session 3 – Lessons Learned in Cabin Training Stephen Howell, Director – Flight Service Training & Professional Development, American Airlines BIOGRAPHY Stephen possesses over 27 years of experience in the commercial aviation industry. Having begun his career as an International Purser for American Airlines, Stephen served in several leadership roles supporting American’s training, policies & procedures, communications and base operations divisions. In 2003 Stephen joined JetBlue Airways as Director of InFlight Training and University Administration for JetBlue University where he was responsible for training operations at JetBlue’s corporate training center in Orlando, Florida. In 2010, Stephen joined US Airways where he has since served as the Director of Base Operations in Charlotte, NC and Director of InFlight Standards and Training. Stephen recently assumed the role of Director, Flight Service Training & Professional Development at the New American where he will be responsible for flight attendant recruitment & on-boarding, training, leadership development and the Purser/Cabin Service Director program at both legacy carriers.
