Segment Manager – Construction Connell Bros. (Vietnam) Company Limited 14, A&B TOWER, 76 LE LAI STREET, DISTRICT 1, HCMC Job Description JOB PURPOSE: - To manage the Constructions team to maintain, develop existing market, expand product portfolio and develop potential markets for construction field. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Business management & development: - Do annual budget for Constructions team and drive team to achieve it. - Work with team to do market intelligence. - Establish product portfolio with key customers and market and continuously identify product needs and secure new suppliers to fill the portfolio gaps. - Keep abreast of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies. - Identify market and Segment capacity to do workforce planning. - Assist and feedback sales activities of Segment to develop and implement sales & marketing strategy that will drive the growth of the business. - Discuss with Business Unit Manager (BUM) to calculate, distribute and enforce minimum price lists for all Constructions Products - Take responsibility in Segment Expenses, financial key performance indicator (such as DSI, DSO) and Account Receivable collection - Builds and manage close relationships with key suppliers and customers. - Propose strategic business direction (short and long term) to BUM. - Key contact with suppliers to start for new business development - Timely submission of monthly reports to principals with comments/ analysis added 2. Leadership: - Coach and encourage construction team creating high motivation and strong team spirit. - Conduct the Segment Meeting to make sure the two way communication in driving the business and employee development. 3. Training: - Lead and develop staff by identifying training needs & share the business acumen - Conduct on the job training to direct subordinates of Technical Sales Manager, Senior Technical Sales Executive, and Technical Sales Executive. Job Requirement QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION: • Bachelor Degree in Construction Materials/ Chemical Science / Chemical Engineering or related fields. • Fluency in spoken and written English skills EXPERIENCE: • At least 5 years of strong commercial & technical experience in Constructions • At least 3 years of people management experience KNOWLEDGE: • Technical knowledge in the lab is preferable • Knowledge about constructions and material in constructions COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: • People Management • Teamwork & Communication Skills • Problem solving and Decision Making • Relationship building • Self & Business Discipline • Client Technical Support
