Speaking Task - 1
Introduce one of your close friends. You should begin with an introduction of yourself, for
example, “Good afternoon. My name is ….and today I would like to talk about my best
friend ...” You can also use the grammar constructions and describing people
vocabulary from Unit 1, 2, 8 in your English Unlimited course book. If you like, you can also
bring pictures, photos, etc.
How do you know eachother?
Example: His name is Roberto. Roberto is from Venice, but he often visits me in
Istanbul. We first met during a holiday in Antalya.

Example: Ted usually wears shirt and cardigan. He has beautiful green eyes and
short black hair, so he’s really handsome.

after she finished Istanbul University in 2012.

Talk about an interesting / fun / exciting holiday of yours. You can also use the grammar
constructions and describing places vocabulary from Unit 4, 5 and 6 in your English
Unlimited course book.

When did you go?
Example: The last time I went on holiday was 2 years ago. It was a warm day in
April and it was a quite interesting experience for me.

Where did you go?
Example: My father took us to his hometown in Fethiye, Mugla. I don’t like
crowded touristy cities, but this place was amazing because there were only
local people with us.

Who did you go with?
Example: I drove to Adana with my parents and two sisters. I definitely didn’t
know that I had so many cousins. We get on really well now.

What did you do there?
Example: When I first went to Sarajevo, I was excited to see all the war museums
around the city. We had a city tour and really enjoyed to see Turkish mosques
and monuments in the city center.
Reader Presentation
You have already received 4 readers, some of which were from the library and some of
which were PDF. Choose your favourite character or an interesting event for you in each
book and prepare a small presentation about them. You should speak for about 5
minutes total for all the books. Your portfolio teacher will know what books you are
responsible for and she/he will ask you one or two questions about your favourite
characters or the one you find interesting.
