BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

1)
CALLED TO ORDER – Meeting was called to order by President Nomie at 12:40p.m.
Roll Call:
President John Nomie Vice President Julie Hollister and Secretary Angie
Hughes via phone.
Attending Jurisdictions: Michele Faber City of Newberg, Debbie Knox City of Oregon
City, Brooke Cooper, Amy Williams of Hillsboro, Diane Park of Tualatin
and Bonnie Lanz City of Milwaukie

Minutes from January 9, 2012 – Bonnie Lanz made a motion to approve the minutes as
written. Julie Hollister seconded the motion it was approved unanimously.
3)
Opening Comments – President Nomie asked to get the meeting calendar set for the this
coming year; March 19 in Tualitan, May Conference will be in Bend Oregon on May 2324th at the Riverhouse, July 16 in Milwaukie, October conference in Salem October 2324th and January 28, 2014 in Hillsboro.
-President Nomie also announced that Linda McDermott is stepping down from the
Treasurer position effective immediately due to an increase in work load at her office.
Brooke Cooper from Hillsboro was elected as interim treasurer by the Board of Directors.
4)
Treasurer/Scholarships –
-President Nomie stated that we are doing ok and he has been depositing the money from
memberships.
- Diane Park from Tualatin has stepped into the role of taking care of the scholarships and
promoting them.
5)
Membership –
-Angie reported that we currently have 54 members so far.
6)
Newsletter –
- Michele Faber stated that the next newsletters is scheduled to go out in April, she asked
that any helpful information get sent to her so she can get started as soon as possible.
7)
ICC Liaison (ICC 2012 Annual Meeting) – Bonnie Lanz stated that the ICC conference
in October was a success and thanked everyone who participated and helped out. She
also stated that there is a yahoo chat group that is in the early stages that will allow permit
techs from across the country to easily ask questions and stay in contact.
